GROUND MOUNT SYSTEMS

Ground-Mounted Solar Systems — Maximum Output, Any Property

When your roof isn't the right fit — whether due to size, shading, orientation, or structural limitations — a ground-mounted solar array delivers the same clean energy with complete flexibility. Ideal for acreages, rural properties, and large commercial sites.
OUR SOLUTIONS

Ground Mount System Services

Fixed Ground Mount Installation
We design and install fixed-tilt ground-mounted systems optimised for the Hunter Valley's latitude, maximising annual energy output without the complexity of tracking systems.
Tilt-Adjustable & Tracking Systems
For sites where maximum output is critical, we install tilt-adjustable racking or single-axis tracking systems that follow the sun — generating significantly more energy than fixed arrays.
Agricultural & Rural Solar
Purpose-designed systems for farms and rural properties — including agrivoltaic setups that allow land to be used for both solar generation and agricultural purposes.
Large-Scale Ground Arrays
We design and install large-format ground arrays for commercial, industrial, and community energy projects — coordinating civil works, cabling, and grid connection.
Carport & Shade Structure Solar
Solar carports combine vehicle shading with energy generation — a smart dual-purpose solution for commercial car parks, schools, and industrial facilities.

FAQS

Is a ground mount system more expensive than a rooftop system?

Ground mount systems typically have a higher upfront cost than equivalent rooftop systems due to the structural mounting framework and additional cabling. However, they often allow for optimal panel orientation, which can increase energy output and improve long-term ROI.

Do I need council approval for a ground-mounted system?

This varies by location, system size, and property type. Some rural and residential systems are considered exempt development, while others may require a development application. We'll advise you on the requirements for your specific property.

How much land do I need for a ground mount array?

A rough guide is approximately 6–7 square metres of ground space per kW of solar capacity, accounting for panel tilt and inter-row spacing. For a 20kW system, you'd need roughly 120–140 square metres.

Can I combine a ground mount array with an off-grid system?

Absolutely — ground-mounted arrays are often the preferred option for off-grid properties where roof space is limited or roof condition is poor. We regularly design integrated off-grid systems using ground-mounted solar.
